Community Guidelines

FitBuddy is a marketplace built on trust, safety, and respect. These guidelines apply to everyone who uses the Platform—Clients and Partners alike. By using FitBuddy, you agree to follow them. Violations may result in warnings, suspension, or permanent account removal.

1. Respect Each Other

Treat everyone with courtesy and professionalism. Harassment, discrimination, hate speech, slurs, threats, intimidation, or bullying are not tolerated—online or in person.

Unsolicited sexual advances, romantic propositions, or commentary about someone's appearance are prohibited. Sessions are for the booked activity, not dating or social networking.

Respect personal boundaries, communication preferences, and cultural differences. If someone asks you to stop a behavior, stop immediately.

2. Be Reliable

Show up on time and prepared for the activity you booked. If you are running late, communicate promptly through the app.

Cancel or reschedule through the Platform, not in private messages. This protects both parties, preserves the cancellation and refund policy, and creates a record if a dispute arises.

Do not book sessions you do not intend to attend. Repeated no-shows, late cancellations, or chargebacks harm the community and may result in suspension.

3. Communicate Honestly

Keep all booking-related communication on the Platform so it can be reviewed for safety, dispute resolution, and policy enforcement if needed.

Do not use messages to solicit payment outside of FitBuddy, share spam, commit fraud, or send content that is illegal, sexually explicit, violent, discriminatory, or otherwise harmful.

Be truthful in your profile, listings, reviews, and messages. Misrepresenting your identity, qualifications, experience, or the nature of a service undermines trust and may violate the law.

4. Safety First

Clients are responsible for assessing their own fitness and health for any activity and disclosing relevant medical conditions to the Partner before the session begins.

Partners are responsible for delivering services safely, within their qualifications, and in appropriate environments. If a session feels unsafe, either party may end it.

In an emergency, call your local emergency number first. Then report the incident to FitBuddy through the in-app safety or support workflow as soon as it is safe to do so.

5. Keep Payments On-Platform

All payments for bookings must be made through FitBuddy's integrated Stripe checkout. Paying or accepting payment outside the Platform (cash, third-party apps, direct transfers) violates these guidelines and voids important protections for both parties.

Do not request, offer, or facilitate off-Platform payments. This includes asking a Client to 'tip' you outside the app or suggesting a direct booking to avoid fees.

6. Reviews and Content

Reviews must be based on genuine first-hand experience. Do not post fake reviews, incentivize biased reviews, or retaliate against another user through ratings or public comments.

Only share content you have the right to share. Do not post copyrighted material, private information about others, or misleading images.

Report suspicious or abusive content rather than escalating it yourself.

7. Report and Cooperate

If you experience or witness a violation of these guidelines, a safety issue, or a fraudulent transaction, report it to us. Timely reports help keep the community safe.

Cooperate with FitBuddy if we reach out to investigate a report, dispute, or policy concern. We may review account activity, messages, and booking records as part of our investigation.

8. Enforcement

FitBuddy reserves the right to investigate, warn, suspend, restrict, or permanently remove accounts for violations of these guidelines, the Terms of Service, the Privacy Policy, or the Partner Agreement.

We may also remove content, cancel bookings, or withhold payouts when necessary to protect the community or comply with legal obligations.

If you believe an enforcement action was made in error, you may contact support. However, FitBuddy's decisions on safety and policy matters are final.
